December 21, 2021
From:
Curtis Powell, Vice President for Human Resources

The Fall 2021 semester is coming to an end, and the Troy and Hartford campuses will be closed for the Holiday/Winter Break beginning Friday, December 24, 2021, and will reopen on Monday, January 3, 2022.

Faculty and staff returning to campus for the Spring semester will continue to be tested for COVID-19, consistent with Institute protocols. Faculty and staff who have received the COVID-19 vaccine must be tested once per week, and those who have not received the COVID-19 vaccine must be tested twice per week. The testing schedule is as follows:

Return to Campus: Week of January 3 through January 7, 2022

Testing appointments are available between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. on both Monday, January 3, and on Thursday, January 6.

Faculty and staff must schedule their test times by logging into the Daily Interactions & Activities Log (DIAL) and clicking the “Return to Campus Test Schedule” button. This feature will be available for scheduling beginning on Wednesday, December 23, 2021.

The remainder of Spring Academic Semester: January 10, 2022 – May 21, 2022

Beginning the week of January 10, 2022, testing appointments are available between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday. There is no testing on Fridays.

Faculty and staff must schedule their recurring test times by logging into DIAL and clicking the “Spring 2022 Test Schedule” button. This feature will be available for use beginning Wednesday, December 23, 2021.

All campus COVID-19 testing will be conducted at the Alumni Sports and Recreation Center (AS&RC), also known as the Armory. Please use the back entrance to the Armory, closest to Freshman Hill. The AS&RC is located on the east side of the 15th Street footbridge and directly across from the Public Safety Building.

If you have any questions regarding testing and scheduling, please contact Lou Padula, director of benefits, retirement, and HRIS, by email at padull@rpi.edu or call at (518) 276-6164.
